Warren County's drug court has received certification for meeting national best practice standards. This certification is seen as a significant step in enhancing recovery efforts in the community.

The drug court is a specialized program aimed at treatment and recovery for individuals whose offenses are linked to substance use. Certification was granted after a thorough review process, which included evaluations and case file checks by All Rise, previously the National Association of Drug Court Professionals.

Hilary Eversoll, the program project coordinator, expressed that this certification verifies the effectiveness of their recovery services. Judge Kimberly Geoghegan highlighted the honor of receiving this certification, thanking the team members for their hard work and collaboration.

Candidates in this year's Republican primary for Warren County Fiscal Court are focusing on growth and public safety. Incumbents Rex McWhorter and Ron Cummings face challenges from Terry Hendrick, Rod Hutcheson, and Justin Gearlds in their respective districts.

Rex McWhorter, in his twelfth year as Fourth District Magistrate, highlights accomplishments like the construction of the SOKY Center and the establishment of the new Warren County Fire Department. He aims to address jail expansion due to overpopulation issues.
